YEAH BRAYDEN!!!

I wanted to let all my friends and family know that this morning Brayden rolled over from his tummy to his back. While I was hooting and hollering Brayden just stared at me like I was crazy. He did it two more times throughout the day giggling with delight. When he masters this I will post a video. One of the advantages of staying at home is getting to see all this fun developmental stuff. It warms my heart.....

Mud Pie fun!

Over the weekend we had Jade's cousin Virl come visit us. Emily being the creative girl that she is, decided to make a mud pie. She took out her bucket and shovel and started piling in mud, leaves, berries and flowers. Quite the creation served on a Frisbee, just for Virl. I think Emily was a tad bit surprised when cousin Virl actually TASTED her creation. She looked at him and said " you are actually eating that?" crinkling up her nose. I laughed so hard....I wish I could have captured this with my camera but it wasn't handy. So, I will leave it to your imagination. Cousin Virl was a big hit with Emily as she showed off ALL day long for him. We sure miss being close to family....

Never a dull moment....

Today Emily did something she rarely does- she dressed up like a princess! For those of you who know her really well- the soccer loving, baseball throwing, dig-in-the-dirt child has a feminine side! I laugh when I say that because she rarely wears dresses or lets me do her hair pretty, but on rare occasion I see that my child really is "well balanced." She even went to great lengths to put on princess music and dance with me in our living room. She was very dramatic with her twirls and dips as she tried to balance with her princess high heeled shoes on. I tried not to have a gigantic grin on my face as she showed me how pretty she was! Her friend Molly came to the door to play and she loved showing off her new look. Classic...

Brayden showed off during tummy time trying his hardest to roll over while his fist was in his mouth drooling away... he actually pivoted all the way around in a semi-circle with his rump up in the air and his legs flying. It was quite classic. Both children are quite entertaining and keep me on my toes....

Our trip to the Portland Zoo

Last week we had such a fun time at the zoo! It was Brayden's first trip, and Emily enjoyed spending time with the Miller girls. We got to see lots of animals and enjoy the play structures along the way. I think Emily's favorite part was getting to pet the animals. We packed a lunch and enjoyed the nice mellow weather that day. Thanks Miller's for a fun time!!!
